Rich Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked 9 inch pastry shell
    1 cup maple-flavored syrup (sugar-free may be used)
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    1 1/2 cups pecan halves
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash salt
Preparation
    Bring syrup, sugar and butter to boil in saucepan on medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally.
    Cool slightly.
