Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. soda
    3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Boil together peanuts, sugar, corn syrup and water in a heavy pan until taffy color (approximately 15 minutes).
    Remove from heat and add soda and butter.
    Stir well.
    Pour into shallow buttered pan.
    Cool.
    Break into pieces.
