Congealed Sunshine Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. orange jello
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained and syrup reserved
1 (11 oz.) can Mandarin oranges, chopped, drained and syrup reserved
Preparation

Blend jello,
cream
cheese
and
salt; stir in boiling water, stirring until mixture dissolves.
Add reserved pineapple and orange syrup; mix well.
Chill until mixture begins to thicken. Fold in pineapple, orange sections and pecans.
Pour into 1 large mold
or
12 small molds; refrigerate until congealed.
