Yule Chiffon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour (all-purpose)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. Wesson oil
    7 unbeaten egg yolks
    3/4 c. cold water
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. egg whites (7 or 8)
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Sift together first four ingredients.
    Make a well and add the oil, egg yolks, water and vanilla.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add cream of tartar to egg whites in large bowl.
    Beat until whites form stiff peaks.
    Do not underbeat.
    Gently fold egg whites into the batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
