A New Yorker'S Linguini And Clam Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    1/2 c. olive oil
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. oregano
    2 Tbsp. basil
    2 cloves minced garlic
    1 (8 oz.) can clams
    salt to taste
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. linguini, cooked
    Parmesan cheese, grated
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter.
    Drain clams, saving 1 cup of clam juice.
    Add clam juice, olive oil, spices and clams to sauteed onion and butter.
    Cook on medium heat for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve over linguini and top with Parmesan cheese.
