Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cups self-rising flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. powdered sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    1-1/4 cup buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift together first 3 ingredients
    Cut in shortening; add buttermilk.
    Knead dough and roll out to 3/4 inch thickness.
    Cut out and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
    Biscuits may be brushed with melted butter before baking.
