Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour, sifted
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. shortening
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together; cut in shortening.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water and combine with buttermilk.
    Add this to dry ingredients.
    Stir well and then knead.
    Add more flour, if necessary.
    Roll out on floured board, about 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut with biscuit cutter.
    Brush tops with melted butter and margarine; bake until golden brown.
    Cut biscuits may be frozen on cookie sheets until hard and then placed in plastic bags and kept in freezer until needed.
