Pecan Pie Surprise Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
4 eggs, divided
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Set aside 2/3 cup of cake mix.
Combine remaining cake mix, butter and 1 egg in a large mixing bowl.
Mix with a fork until crumbly.
Press crumbs in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
