Cinnamon Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    sugar
    7 large cucumbers
    1 c. lime
    white vinegar
    red food coloring
    1 tsp. alum
    cinnamon sticks
    9 oz. bag red hot candy
Preparation
    Peel and slice cucumbers 1/2 inch thick.
    Cut out center to form ring.
    Add 1 cup lime to 1 gallon of water.
    Soak cucumbers overnight in solution (only use enamel or crock-type bowl).
