Frankfurter Casserole (On Chips) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 large frankfurters (1 lb.), cut in 1/2-inch pieces
    3 Tbsp. butter or oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1 (12 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    dash of pepper
    potato chips
Preparation
    Brown franks in oil.
    Remove.
    Saute onions and peppers in remaining oil until tender.
    Add tomatoes and spices.
    Cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
    Add franks; simmer 5 minutes longer. Serve hot on potato chips.
    Serves 6.
