Good Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter or margarine
5 Tbsp. cold water
6 c. thinly sliced apples (tart)
1 c. sugar
3/4 stick butter or margarine
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Mix flour, salt and 3/4 cup butter well, then add water. Divide dough in half.
Roll half and put in a 10-inch pie plate. Spread 1/3 of sugar on crust, then half the apples, 1/3 more sugar, then remainder of apples, then remainder of sugar.
Slice 3/4 stick of butter; lay on top.
Sprinkle with spices.
Roll remaining half of dough, making top crust.
Spread over apple mixture, fluting edges.
Cut slits in top crust.
Brush top crust with milk and sprinkle a little sugar on top.
Place on a cookie sheet and cook on bottom rack of 400\u00b0 oven for about 45 minutes.
