Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. raw rice
    1 can mushroom soup
    2 cans water
    1 small onion, chopped
    salt and pepper
    1 fryer, cut up
Preparation
    Pour rice in bottom of 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Combine soup and water; spoon over rice.
    Top with onion.
    Season chicken with salt and pepper and brown in skillet.
    Place chicken over rice, add drippings from skillet.
    Bake, covered, for 1 hour at 375\u00b0.
    (This recipe can be adapted for microwave oven by using a glass dish and reducing cooking time to 30 to 45 minutes.)
    Yields 5 to 6 servings.
