Barbecued Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 to 3 1/2 lb.) fryer
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 c. water
    1 c. catsup
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
    dash of red pepper
Preparation
    Brown chicken in hot fat.
    Combine remaining ingredients; simmer 30 minutes.
    Place chicken in shallow baking pan.
    Pour sauce over chicken.
    Bake, uncovered, in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serves 6.
