Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bulk sausage
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1/2 tsp. basil leaves, crumbled
    1 c. plain croutons
    5 c. romaine, torn into bits
    5 c. iceberg lettuce, torn into bits
    2/3 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 c. sliced green onion
    1/2 c. sliced ripe olives
    4 Tbsp. sugar (added to dressing, optional)
Preparation
    In skillet cook sausage, stirring to separate into bits. Remove meat.
    Pour off all but 1/4 cup of fat drippings.
    Add vinegar, oil, Worcestershire sauce and basil. Heat until boiling.
