Sugared Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1/3 c. orange juice
    1 tsp. orange rind
    1 lb. pecans, sliced
Preparation
    Mix sugar, water and juice; boil to soft ball stage or 240\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Remove from burner; add orange rind and pecans and stir until syrup looks cloudy.
    Pour onto heavy wax paper as mixture cools.
    Break apart.
