Festive Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. skimmed evaporated milk
    12 regular marshmallows
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    few grains of salt
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1 c. cut-up nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients in heavy 2-quart saucepan.
    Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until it reaches a rolling boil. Boil and stir 5 minutes more, then take off heat.
    Stir in chocolate pieces until completely melted; then stir in the cut-up nuts and vanilla.
    Spread in buttered 8-inch square pan.
    Cool. Cut into 30 pieces.
