Beef Noodle Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. medium egg noodles
    1/3 c. chopped green onion
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1/3 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    1 c. cottage cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cook noodles; drain and allow to cool. In a skillet, melt margarine.
    Saute onion and green bell pepper until tender.
    Add meat and brown slowly; set aside.
    In a small bowl, stir together tomato paste, sour cream, sugar and salt and set aside.
    In a large bowl, toss together noodles and cottage cheese.
    Layer 1/2 noodle and cottage cheese mixture into a casserole dish.
    Spread with tomato sour cream mixture, then layer 1/2 meat mixture.
    Layer remaining noodle mixture, then meat. Pour tomato sauce over all.
    Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
