Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. shortening
3 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. cloves
2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 to 3 1/2 c. flour
2 c. cooked raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Mix together sugar, brown sugar, shortening and spices.
Add milk and soda with flour alternately.
Last add raisins cooked and drained; add nuts.
Bake in greased and floured cake layer pans until done at 350\u00b0.
