Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. boiling water
1/2 c. light syrup
1 egg
1 (9-inch) pastry shell
Preparation

In
a bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Add sugar.
Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Dissolve
baking
soda
in\tboiling water.\tAdd syrup and egg; blend well.
