Cabbage Beef Casserole(An Alternative To The Usual Cabbage Rolls) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 pound ground beef
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    2 onions, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 - 14 oz. can tomato sauce
    1 cup water
    1/2 cup uncooked long-grain rice
    4 cups shredded cabbage, one small head
Preparation
    In a large skillet, cook beef in oil until browned, drain off fat. Stir in onion, garlic, salt and pepper, tomato sauce and water. Bring to boil, stir in rice. Simmer, covered about 20 minutes. Place half the cabbage in buttered baking dish. Cover with half the rice mixture. Repeat layers. Bake covered at 350\u00b0 for one hour.
