Microwave Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. popped corn
    1 1/2 c. peanuts (optional)
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. white corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Put popped corn in large brown grocery bag.
    Combine sugar, butter, syrup and salt in 2-quart microwave bowl.
    Microwave on High 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after each minute.
    Bring to boil. Microwave 2 minutes.
    Stir in baking soda.
    Pour mixture over popped corn and peanuts in bag.
    Close bag and shake well. Microwave on High for 1 1/2 minutes.
    Shake bag and microwave 1 1/2 minutes.
    Pour into large roaster and let cool.
    Separate. Store in tightly covered container.
