Chicken Noodle Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. noodles
    4 c. cooked chicken
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. chicken broth
    salt and pepper
    8 oz. American cheese
    1/2 c. olives
    8 oz. sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/2 c. blanched almonds
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Cook noodles according to directions; drain and mix with chicken. Melt butter; saute celery, onion and green pepper.
    Sprinkle with flour, gradually stir in broth until thickened.
    Season with salt and pepper; stir in cheese.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly; stir in olives and mushrooms.
    Pour over chicken and noodles.
    Sprinkle with almonds.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
    Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated. Allow 15 more minutes for cooking.
