Mystery Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped nuts
    18 saltine crackers, crushed by hand
Preparation
    Beat eggs until foamy.
    Add cream of tartar.
    Continue beating until stiff.
    Add vanilla, sugar, nuts and crackers.
    Pour into a large greased pie plate and spread evenly.
    Cook on top shelf of oven at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes (until lightly brown).
    Cool completely before filling.
