Grandma'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. flour
dash of salt
3 Tbsp. vinegar with 1 c. milk
2 tsp. soda
3/4 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream together sugar, shortening and eggs.
Sift in cocoa, flour and salt.
Mix vinegar with milk.
Add soda.
As mixture rises, add to mixture.
Add boiling water and vanilla.
Mix.
Pour into greased and floured 9 1/2 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until toothpick comes out clean.
