"Koulourakia" - Easter Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter
6 eggs
1 3/4 c. sugar
juice of 1 orange
1/4 c. whiskey
6 tsp. baking powder
7 to 8 c. flour
Preparation

Melt butter.
In large bowl, combine butter, sugar and eggs; beat for 10 minutes.
Add orange juice and whiskey and beat well. Add baking powder and beat well.
Add flour slowly.
Use mixer until it begins to thicken.
Knead in remaining flour until it makes a soft, non-sticky dough.
Pinch off pieces of dough and shape as desired.
Place on greased cookie sheets; brush with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seed (optional).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
