Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 scant tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 oz. red food coloring
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Add one egg at a time. Beat well each time.
Make paste of cocoa and food coloring.
Add to mixture.
Sift flour and salt.
Add buttermilk and flour alternately, starting and ending with flour.
Combine soda and vinegar and add to batter.
Beat well.
