Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 apples, thinly sliced
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    5 tsp. sugar
    3 c. flour
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    4 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. orange juice
    2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix apples, 5 teaspoons sugar and cinnamon together.
    Set aside.
    Beat flour, sugar, oil, eggs, salt, juice, vanilla and baking powder together until smooth.
    Place in tube pan, one layer of batter, alternating with the apple slices, ending with apples on top layer.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 3/4 hours.
