Old Fashioned Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 eggs (whole)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    raisins (optional)
    4 slices buttered toast
    nutmeg to taste
Preparation
    Break buttered toast into pieces; place in bottom of buttered dish or pan.
    Beat eggs; add milk, sugar and vanilla.
    Pour over bread; add raisins and nutmeg.
    Bake in preheated 325\u00b0 oven until firm (about 20 to 30 minutes).
    Yields 4 servings.
