Green Tomato Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. green tomatoes, peeled and chopped fine
    6 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. mace
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Combine tomatoes and sugar.
    Bring to a boil and add cinnamon, mace, cloves and vinegar.
    Cook for 1 hour just at boiling point. Ladle into sterilized jars; seal.
