Ingredients

2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar or more
1/4 c. vinegar (apple cider)
1 stick oleo or 3/4 stick
Preparation

Put water, sugar and vinegar on to boil.
Add oleo.
Make crust as for pies.
Roll thin and pinch off small pieces.
Drop in liquid and let boil.
Do not make too dry.
Cool thoroughly, stirring occasionally.
Pour in bread pan and top with crust.
Dot with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake in oven until brown.
