Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs.
Blend in flour, cocoa, salt, vanilla and nuts.
Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and spread miniature marshmallows evenly over top.
Return to oven and brown marshmallows under broiler.
Cool and cover with chocolate icing.
