Frosted Delights - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
2 egg whites, beaten
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Sift flour, salt and baking powder together; put aside.
Cream shortening with sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, vanilla and sifted ingredients; mix well.
Spread batter very thin on baking sheet. Fold brown sugar into egg whites.
Mix until soft peaks form. Spread over batter and sprinkle with nuts.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Cut into squares.
