Royal Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box confectioners sugar
    3 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Beat sugar, egg whites and cream of tartar until very thick and very fluffy.
    Keep covered with a damp towel at room temperature.
    When dry, this frosting is like a hard candy.
    Use to decorate cookies and to hold a gingerbread house together.
