Cucumber Chips - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. cucumbers
8 small white onions
2 green peppers
1/2 c. salt
5 c. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
5 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation

Slice and wash cukes.
Mix with peppers, onion and salt.
Bury in ice for 3 hours and drain.
Mix vinegar, water, turmeric, cloves, mustard seed, celery seed and sugar in a large pan, heating.
Add drained cucumber; mix and simmer until transparent. Pack in jars, boiling hot, to within 1/4-inch of top and seal.
