Shrimp Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. shrimp
    4 c. cooked rice
    2 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1 tsp. sugar
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 c. oil
    1/2 tsp. cornstarch
    salt and black pepper to taste
    red pepper to taste
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
Preparation
    Cook shrimp and set aside.
    Add onion, celery, bell pepper and garlic in the oil.
    Cook until wilted.
    Add tomato paste and cook 15 minutes.
    Add water, salt, pepper and sugar.
    Cook, uncovered, over medium heat about 40 minutes more.
    Add shrimp and cornstarch.
    Cook about 5 minutes more.
    Serve over rice.
    Yields 6 servings.
