Grandma'S Southern Fried Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium tomatoes (half ripe)
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. Tony Chachere Creole seasoning
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    oil for frying
Preparation
    Wash tomatoes but do not peel.
    Cut into slices 1/2 to 3/4-inch.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Dust slices of tomatoes in flour mixture on both sides.
    Add milk to remaining flour mixture to make a thick batter.
    Dip tomato slices in batter.
    Fry in hot oil 1/2-inch deep until golden brown on both sides.
    Drain before serving and serve hot.
