Lye Soap - cooking recipe

Ingredients

5 lb. grease (if beef, use 4 1/2 lb.)
1 lb. box lye, dissolved in 6 c. water

Preparation

Melt grease and cool it.
Slowly pour lye in melted grease and stir.
Be careful while stirring.
Let mixture set completely.
