Sweet Pickles(No Cook, No Seal) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. salt
    1 gal. water
    1/2 box alum
    vinegar (white 5% acidity)
    10 lb. sugar
    1/2 box pickling spice
    cucumbers
Preparation
    Use any size cucumbers.
    Make brine of salt and water.
    Wash cukes and cover with brine water.
    Use a plastic, glass or enameled container; not stainless or aluminum.
    Pack as many cukes as possible in container and weight down so all will be submerged under water.
    Soak 14 days.
