Hearty Vegetable Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean stew beef
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
    2 carrots, sliced
    2 to 3 stalks celery, sliced
    2 medium onions, diced
    1 to 2 medium potatoes, pared and diced
    3 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    4 whole peppercorns
    3 beef bouillon cubes
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. mixed vegetables*
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in crock-pot. Cover and cook on low for 12 to 24 hours or high 4 to 6 hours.
