Country Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. shoulder roast
    1 stick butter
    1 large onion
    2 garlic cloves
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Trim most of fat from roast. Boil until tender with chipped garlic.
    Slice large onion over meat and cook until onion is well done.
    Remove meat from broth.
    Thicken broth with flour and water.
    Return meat to gravy and cook until gravy is done.
    (I add a teaspoon of sugar to my meat along with salt and pepper.) Good over rice or creamed potatoes.
