Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/4 lb. squash
    1 medium onion
    2 slices bread
    1 egg
    2 to 3 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 1/2 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Cook squash until tender; drain.
    Mash with butter, salt and pepper.
    Slightly beat egg and soak bread in egg.
    Add slightly beaten egg, bread and onion; mix well.
    Pour half of mixture in casserole dish; top with half of cheese.
    Add remaining mixture and top with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
