Cliff'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
11 oz. or 1/2 qt. (one 16 oz. bag) raw Spanish peanuts
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
2 oz. margarine, cut in pieces
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix sugar, syrup and water together and cook to 240\u00b0, stirring constantly.
Add the peanuts and cook to 280\u00b0, stirring constantly.
Add margarine, cut in pieces.
Cook to 294\u00b0.
Mix baking soda and salt and add to candy.
Turn off fire.
Stir constantly until it rises second time or takes on the peanut brittle color.
Pour on two Teflon cookie sheets.
Candy will spread itself.
Keep stirring as you pour.
