Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. white corn syrup
1/3 c. water
1/4 c. butter
3/4 tsp. salt (optional)
3/4 tsp. vanilla
5 qt. popped corn

Preparation

Mix first 5 ingredients until dissolved.
Stir over medium heat until 278\u00b0 on candy thermometer and add vanilla.
Pour over popcorn; butter hands and form balls.
