Mr. Bennie'S Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

5 c. medium ground white corn meal
2 handfuls self-rising flour
cupped palm of handful salt
1 pinch soda
2 pinches baking powder
2 eggs, beaten

Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients.
Beat eggs in 1 cup of water. Add egg mixture to dry ingredients.
Gradually add enough water until mixture is thick and can be cut with spoon without separating.
Cut with long side of mixing spoon and drop in hot oil (350\u00b0).
Cook until brown.
