Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies - cooking recipe

2 (1 oz.) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
6 oz. room temperature butter
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat the oven to 350\u00b0.
Cut the chocolate into approximately 1/4-inch chunks. Combine the flour, salt, soda and cinnamon. Beat together the butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat in the egg.
Stir in the flour mixture. Add the oats, nuts and chocolate.
Drop the dough by level teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake until the edges brown, 6 to 8 minutes.
Let cookies cool 1 minute on baking sheets before removing to racks.
