Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can chunk pineapple
    1 (14 oz.) can mandarin oranges
    1 (3 1/4 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding and pie filling
    1 1/2 c. plus 3 Tbsp. juice
    4 bananas
    1 c. grapes
    1/4 c. cherries
Preparation
    Drain pineapple and oranges.
    Add water to equal the amount of juice (if needed).
    Add to pudding mix; cook until thick.
    Cool. Add all fruit and chill.
