Baked Cheese Sandwich With Mushroom Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 slices white sandwich bread, butter and cut off crusts
    8 slices cheese or grated cheese
    Spam (1 can for about 8 slices bread), ground up
    4 eggs, beaten
    3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Butter a Pyrex baking dish. Cover bottom with buttered bread, buttered side down, then cheese slices (2 slices can be used), then ground Spam.
    Lay another slice of bread, buttered side up. Beat eggs. Add milk and salt.
    Pour over sandwiches.
    Refrigerate overnight. Bake 1 hour in a 300\u00b0 oven (low oven; it burns easily). Serve with Mushroom Sauce.
