Ingredients

10 slices white bread, trimmed and cubed
4 oz. butter or margarine
1 lb. grated sharp cheese
3 eggs, separated
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red pepper
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation

In large bowl, toss bread crumbs in melted butter.
Alternate layers of bread cubes and grated cheese in well-greased casserole. Beat egg yolks and mix with remaining ingredients.
Pour over cheese and bread cubes.
Beat egg whites stiff but not dry.
Fold into mixture.
Let stand overnight in refrigerator.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes or until firm.
Serves 8.
