Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. popped corn
    1 c. peanuts
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Boil sugar, water, syrup and salt to soft ball stage (238\u00b0). Add vanilla, vinegar and butter.
    Cook to hard ball stage (266\u00b0). Pour over popped corn and peanuts.
    Mix together.
