Pecan Meringue Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites beaten
    1 c. sugar
    10 single soda crackers crushed
    1 c. pecans chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 pt. whipping cream whipped and sweetened
Preparation
    Make 24 hours in advance.
    Beat eggs, add sugar gradually, and beat to peaks.\tFold in soda crackers, pecans and vanilla. Put in 8 by 8 inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cool thoroughly.
    Top with sweetened whipped cream, and seal around edges.
    cover and refrigerate over night.
    Can be garnished before serving with fresh fruit (e.g. berries, kiwi, etc.), and mint leaves or berry sauce.
